A regional tertiary referral hospital in Victoria Australia is seeking a Consultant Neurologist to join its expanding Neurology service. This permanent specialist position offers the opportunity to play a key role in developing neurological services within a large and rapidly growing regional health system serving a population of more than 320,000 people across central Victoria.

This role is ideally suited to a specialist neurologist looking to combine high-quality clinical practice, teaching, and service development within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient neurological care within a large regional referral hospital.

The role includes

• clinical service delivery
• participation in multidisciplinary care,
• involvement in the education and supervision of Doctors in Training
• opportunities for research and service development.

Consultants practice within their defined scope and participate in formal credentialing processes as part of the hospital's clinical governance framework.

Neurology Service

Neurology is a dynamic and expanding service within the Medical Services Division. The department currently provides specialist consultation for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions and works closely with the general medical teams to support inpatient care.

As the hospital continues to expand its tertiary referral capability, the Neurology Department is expected to play a central role in the development of advanced neurological services, integrated care pathways, and regional specialist support.
